Rapweave is a PE woven fabric used where extra strength and tear resistance is required in the packaging of large steel coils. This new and innovative woven film made of polyethylene provides vapour corrosion protection to a wide variety of metal products including but not limited to steel strip, black plate, drum stock, galvanized, rod, tubes and aluminum plate and profiles. The product is particularly useful when packed products experience multiple handling environments through trans-shipping. As the product does not have the same tension / memory characteristics as film –if torn during the handling process the tear will not spring wide open exposing the product within.
